In this article, you will learn how to begin charging your clients with Workiz Pay after activating your account.

Workiz Pay is a fast, simple, and secure online payment solution that enables you to collect credit card payments from your customers while on the job. Workiz Pay also makes sure you get paid on time — and even ahead of time — by allowing you to request payments on your estimates and invoices.

With Workiz Pay, you can accept payment from the following credit card networks:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• American Express
• Discover

Using Workiz Pay on desktop

The web application allows you to charge credit cards in a few different ways: manually processing a credit card payment or sending a request for payment as part of an estimate or invoice. 

Processing a credit card payment

• 1. Open the job you want to add a payment to
  2. Select the Payments tab
     
  3. Select Add payment
  4. Select Payment type > Credit charge
  5. Enter the credit card details
• 1. Open the estimate or invoice you want to a payment to
  2. Scroll down to the Deposits (estimates) or Payments (invoices) section
     
  3. Enter the amount you want to charge
  4. Select Payment type > Credit charge
  5. Select Add

Sending a payment request

Once your Workiz Pay account has been activated, you will be able to send invoices and estimates that feature an option to pay using a credit card.

1. Open the estimate or invoice you want to send
2. Select Send
   
3. Select Send Email or Send Text as desired

What your clients will see

Your customers will receive an email or text message that includes your message and a link to view the estimate or invoice in the Workiz client portal. From the Workiz client portal, they will see the option to pay using a credit card.

Using Workiz Pay on the Workiz mobile app

Using Workiz Pay on the mobile app is a great way to charge clients while out in the field. You can charge your customers in numerous ways using the mobile app.
