Adding services to your booking portal

In this article, you will learn how to enable service type booking to take your online booking portal to the next level.

With online booking in Workiz, you can allow your clients to book your time online based on the specific services they require. After they select the service, Workiz will only provide the availability of team members whose skills match the requested service.

The services listed on your booking portal are drawn from the job types on your account. To learn more about adding new job types, please see this article.

How to enable job type booking

In order to enable service type booking, you will first need to enable the online booking feature from the Feature Center.

  1. From the sidebar menu, select Online booking
  2. Select the Job types tab

  3. Turn the toggle switch for Show job types on

  4. Select Add job type and choose the existing job types you want to add to your booking page

Limiting items to specific job types in online booking

Workiz also allows you to include selectable items on your booking page so that your customers can choose the items they need for a particular service. These items can be customized to only be displayed when a specific service is selected, ensuring clients choose items that are only relevant to the service they need.

  1. From the booking settings page, select Items
  2. Next to the item you want to edit, select the dots icon ( ) > Edit
  3. Select Select job type and choose the job type you want this item to be nested under

  4. Select Save
