In this article, you will learn about some of the most frequently asked questions relating to Workiz Pay.

Workiz Pay is a fast, simple, and secure online payments solution that enables you to collect credit card payments from your customers while on the job. Workiz Pay also makes sure you get paid on time — and even ahead of time — by allowing you to request payments on your estimates and invoices.


Signing up

  • Click here to sign up.

  • If you have a business registered with the IRS, connect your business’s bank account. If you do not have a business registered with the IRS, connect your personal bank account.

  • You can find information about your bank account from a physical check, your bank statement, or your bank account online.

  • If you have a business registered with the IRS, choose Company. If you do not have a business registered with the IRS, choose Individual.

  • You can provide your business's social media page (Facebook, Yelp, Google, My Business, etc.) instead.

  • We will normally begin reviewing your application within a few minutes after you submit. If we need additional information, we will reach out to you.

    The entire approval process should take no longer than two business days.

  • We do our best to verify your identity with a limited amount of information. In some cases, we will contact you to request additional information. Your information will be secured.

  • You will receive an email and text message to notify you of your approval.

    Additionally, you can easily see your application status from your Workiz Pay dashboard.

Payments and payouts

  • Once approved for Workiz Pay, you will be able to send estimates and invoices that include an option to pay using a credit card online.

    You can also collect payments in the field using Workiz card readers on the mobile app, or manually using a keyed transaction.

  • You can view your payments from the Payments tab of your Workiz Pay dashboard. You can also view payments from the Payments Report in the Reports page.

  • Credit card payouts

    It will take approximately 7–10 business days for your first payout to be processed.

    After the first payout, all future standard payouts will be processed as follows:

    Canada 1–2 business days 3 business days 4–5 business days

    Please be aware that holiday schedules may affect the standard payout timeline. Generally, holidays will not be counted as business days. For a complete list of holidays, please see the following list:

    Workiz Pay also offers instant payouts for credit card payments, allowing you to get your funds within 30 minutes of collecting payment. To learn more about instant payouts, please see this article.

    ACH payouts

    It will take approximately 6–8 business days for ACH payments to be processed and paid out.

  • Workiz Pay will allow you to accept payments from the following credit card networks:

    • Visa
    • Mastercard
    • American Express
    • Discover
  • Yes, a $1 minimum is required in order to process a card payment with Workiz Pay.

  • Yes, you need a client email address in order to collect payments using Workiz Pay. It must be a valid email address unique to your client.

Account management

  • Your customers will see your statement descriptor on their bank statements. Your statement descriptor will automatically be generated to match the business name you entered in your Workiz account.

    You can view your statement descriptor from the My account tab of your Workiz Pay dashboard.
