This feature is currently only available to select users and accounts as part of a limited release. Access will be rolled out gradually over time.
In this article, you will learn about the widgets available in Workiz's new dashboard experience: what each one shows, how it's calculated, and how to get the most out of it.
What is the new dashboard?
The new dashboard gives you a clearer view of your business performance in one place. Instead of jumping between separate reports, you can see demand, sales, collected revenue, and call performance at a glance from your Home page.
If your account has access to the new dashboard, you'll see a Switch to previous version toggle at the top of your Home page. This lets you move between the new and previous dashboard experiences at any time.
For an introduction to both experiences and how to switch between them, please see the Workiz dashboard overview article.
How the new dashboard works
The new dashboard is organized around a few key ideas:
-
One date range for everything
Instead of setting a time range separately for each widget, a single date range selector at the top of the page controls every widget on the dashboard at once -
Performance trends, not just totals
Every key metric shows a percentage change compared to the previous equivalent period, so you can see at a glance whether performance is trending up or down — not just what the current number is -
Grouped by topic
Widgets are organized into two sections, Revenue and financials and Communications, so related metrics sit together instead of being spread across a long list of individual cards. -
Built-in explanations
Every widget includes an info icon you can select to see exactly what the metric measures and how it's calculated, without needing to leave the dashboard.
Choosing a date range
Select the date range control at the top of the dashboard (it shows Last 30 days by default) to choose the reporting period for every widget on the page at once. You can choose from:
- Today
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 60 days
- Last 90 days
- This week
- This month
- This quarter
- This year
- Custom (pick your own start and end dates)
Whatever range you choose, each metric's percentage change badge compares that period to the equivalent period immediately before it (for example, this month vs. last month).
Revenue and financials
This section gives you a snapshot of demand, sales, and collected revenue for the selected date range.
