In this article, we'll go through creating a weekly visit plan template and enrolling a client in it.
Service plan templates support up to 52 visits, so you can build a plan around weekly visits for a full year. This is great for programs like weekly lawn care, weekly pool service, or any maintenance contract where you're on-site every week.
Creating a weekly visit plan template
Plan templates are created the same way as any other service plan. For the full walkthrough of every field, see How to create a service plan template. The one nuance for a weekly visit plan is in the Duration & Visits step:
- From the navigation bar, select your profile icon > Settings
- Under General settings, select Service Plans Manager
- Select New plan template
- Fill in your plan name, description, and job type as usual
- Under Duration & Visits:
- Service period: Set this to 1 Year
- Number of visits: Set this to 52. This is the maximum number of visits available on a plan, and exactly enough to cover one visit per week across the full year.
- Decide whether the plan should renew automatically, then select Next
- On Pricing & billing, set your plan price and choose a billing frequency. Clients are billed on that schedule regardless of how often visits occur, so a weekly visit plan can still be billed in one manageable payment a month (or once a year) rather than after every visit.
- Continue through tax, member discounts, and attachments as usual, then review and select Create plan
Enrolling a client in a weekly visit plan
- Open the profile for the client you want to enroll
- Select Create new > Service Plan
- Choose the property address this plan will apply to
- Select your weekly visit plan template, then select Continue
- On Plan basics and duration, Workiz automatically schedules all 52 visits one week apart, starting from the plan's start date. You'll see them listed under included visits, with an option to show the full list.
- If you need to adjust an individual visit, select Manage next to included visits and edit any date directly. To shift every remaining visit at once – for example, if a single visit needs to move and the rest of the weekly schedule should shift with it – enter a number of days next to Shift next visits.
- Select Save once you're done, then Next
- Continue through pricing and billing, pricing adjustments, and collecting payment the same way you would for any other plan
See Enrolling clients in service plans for the full walkthrough of these steps.
