How to enable call recording

In this article, you will learn how to enable call recording while using Workiz Phone.

Workiz Phone is a one-of-a-kind phone system built right into the software that was designed with service businesses in mind. It allows you to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls with just one click. It also allows you to record calls that take place between your team and your clients.

Call recording is set up by default when using the Workiz dialer, but Workiz includes a few additional features to ensure that every call your company encounters is logged and recorded:

  • Call flows: Ensures all incoming calls are recorded
  • Call masking: Ensures all of your teams' outbound calls are recorded

Enabling call recording for call flows

  1. From the navigation bar, select the gear icon ( ) > Settings
  2. Under Calls & Texts, select Call flows
  3. Next to the call flow you want to enable recording for, select the pencil icon ( )
  4. Turn the toggle switch on for Record call flow

  5. (Optional) If your state requires two-party consent for recording, edit your greeting message to notify callers that the calls will be recorded
  6. Select Save
  7. Select Save call flow

Enabling call recording for call masking

  1. From the navigation bar, select the gear icon ( ) > Settings
  2. Under Calls & Texts, select Call masking
  3. Expand the section for Record calls and select the option for Record tech calls

  4. (Optional) If your state requires two-party consent for recording, enter a message in the text box to notify recipients of outbound calls that calls will be recorded
  5. Select Save
