Online reviews are often one of the first things potential customers look at before booking your business. Regularly replying to reviews helps show that your team is active, responsive, and cares about the customer experience.

Responding to positive reviews helps strengthen customer relationships, while replying to negative reviews gives you an opportunity to address concerns and show professionalism publicly.

Staying active on review platforms can help build trust, improve your online reputation, and make customers feel more confident choosing your business.

With Genius Marketing, you'll be able to:

  • Monitor your business's overall review performance
  • Reply to customers manually or with the help of AI
  • Keep track of which reviews still need a reply
  • Filter and organize reviews by star rating

Connecting your review accounts

To get started, you'll need to connect your Google account. 

  1. From the sidebar menu, select Marketing
  2. Select the Reputation tab
  3. Select Connect Google business account

  4. Sign in to your Google business account
  5. Choose the business page(s) you want to connect and select Continue

Your business reviews should begin loading after a few moments. 

Managing your reviews

After connecting your Google account, you'll be able to start managing your reviews in Workiz.

At the top of the page you'll see your reputation overview. This gives you a quick snapshot of how your business is performing across review platforms. Monitor your average rating, total review volume, response rate, and review breakdowns by star rating — all from one place.

This makes it easier to spot trends in customer feedback, stay on top of unanswered reviews, and maintain a strong online presence with both existing and potential customers.

You'll also get direct access to your business reviews. You can apply filters to display reviews by date, rating, reply status, and location if you have multiple locations linked to your Google account. 

Replying to reviews

Genius Marketing makes it easy to stay on top of customer reviews. Select an individual review to automatically generate an AI-written reply tailored to that customer’s feedback. From there, you can edit the response, send it as is, or write your own custom reply.

This helps businesses respond to reviews more consistently and maintain an active online presence without spending as much time writing replies manually.

To help you stay organized, Genius Marketing also displays a badge counter on the Reputation tab whenever you have reviews that still need replies. This makes it easier to track outstanding reviews and ensure customers receive timely responses — whether the feedback is positive or negative.

To reply to a review:

  1. Select a review to automatically generate an AI-written reply tailored to that customer's feedback

  2. Post the reply as is, edit before posting, or replace it with your own custom response

    You can quickly switch between a professional, friendly, or apologetic tone directly from the reply editor. All accounts have a professional reply tone selected by default, but you can set a different default tone in your Genius Marketing settings at any time.

  3. Select Post response

Your reply will be posted publicly on your business profile and can be edited at any time directly from Workiz.

Disconnecting your business profile

If you no longer wish to have your online reviews aggregated in Genius Marketing, you can disconnect your business profile from your Workiz account at any time. You can do this from the reputation tab in your Genius Marketing settings.

  1. From the Genius Marketing page, select Settings
  2. Select Reputation
  3. Select Disconnect
  4. Confirm your decision
