Switching between your main franchise account and other sub-accounts

In this article, you will learn how to navigate between different sub-accounts across your franchise in Workiz.

Whether you’re managing two locations or two dozen, Workiz scales with your business. The Franchises add-on helps you maintain consistency, monitor performance, and support new locations without adding operational complexity.

After adding new locations, admin users will be able to seamlessly switch back and forth between accounts without having to share login credentials. 

Accessing sub-accounts

You don’t need to be a paid user on every sub-account to access it. As long as you have permission, you can navigate between accounts using the paid access from your primary (HQ) account. 

All admin-level users have access to sub-accounts by default. To permit non-admins, ensure the "Franchises" permission has been enabled for their role.

Before you can access sub-accounts, you will need to connect them to your main HQ-level account. To learn more about connecting multiple accounts, please see this article.

  1. From the top navigation bar, select your business name
  2. Next to the sub-account you want to view, select Access

    Do your "child" accounts have sub-accounts of their own? To access a "grandchild" account, first open the child account, then repeat this process.

When moving between accounts, your access level carries over from your primary account. This means your permissions stay consistent across all accounts you can access.

For example, if your primary account allows you to process credit card payments, you’ll be able to process payments on any lower-level account you access as well. 

To return to your main account, select the business name at the top of the page.
