In this article, you will learn how message categories work in the Message Center.
Emails and text messages sent to your Workiz Message Center are automatically sorted into one of three categories: clients, requests, or team. You can also view messages across all categories or access archived conversations at any time.
Message Center categories overview
| Category | Includes messages from |

| All | All conversations from clients, requests, and team categories. Does not include archived conversations. |
| Requests | Potential clients who haven't been created as clients in the system yet. Includes messages from Online Booking, Thumbtack, Angi Leads, Genius Leads, Dispatch.me, and other lead-generating integrations. |
| Clients | Existing clients and unknown numbers. |
| Team | Users and subcontractors saved as team members in the system. |
| Archived | Any conversation you've manually archived from another category. |
Moving conversations to different categories
Workiz also makes it possible to move conversations from one category to another. Conversations do not move on their own. For example, if a conversation originates as a request, it will remain there until you manually move it to clients.
- From the top navigation bar, select the Message Center
- Find the conversation you want to move and select the three dots > Move to and choose your desired category (e.g., requests, client, team)
