In this article, you will learn how to automatically apply tags to new jobs.
Automatically applying tags to new jobs helps you stay organized and act faster without the extra clicks. By setting up this automation, you can ensure every new job or lead is instantly categorized the right way.
For example, you can use this automation to automatically tag jobs that are:
- Booked by Genius Answering (based on ad source)
- Set to require payment immediately after service (based on job type or service area)
- Waiting on parts that depend on vendor deliveries (based on job type)
Creating your automation rule
- From the navigation bar, select Automations
- Select Add automation
- Enter a name for your automation rule
- Select this happens > a job or a lead
- Choose the trigger event for your automation (e.g., is created, has a status, is scheduled, etc.)
- Select do this > apply
- Choose the tags you want to apply and select Save
- Select Add condition
- Create a conditions to refine when this automation should trigger (e.g., only if job source is X, only if job type is not Y, etc.)
- Select Add automation to save your rule
Now, whenever the conditions of your automation rule are met, Workiz will automatically tag your jobs or leads — helping you stay organized, spot key opportunities faster, and keep your team focused on the work that matters most.
