In this article, you will learn about using checklists in Workiz to streamline your workflows. 

Checklists is a Feature Center add-on that allows you to create customizable checklist templates to standardize your workflow and make sure nothing gets missed.

Each template can include a variety of field types to capture exactly what you need, such as:

  • Checkbox
  • Short text
  • Long text
  • Number
  • Single select
  • Pass/Flag/Fail
  • File/image upload
  • Date

You can add templates to jobs and leads in seconds, and complete them in the office or on the go using the web or mobile app. Workiz also makes it easy to monitor the status of each checklist that's been added to a job, letting you see if it's been worked on. 

Enabling the add-on

  1. From the top navigation bar, select the Feature Center
  2. Select Checklists
  3. Select Get started to enable the add-on

Checklists ready for desktop and mobile

Your team can complete checklists wherever they are. Templates are available in the office on desktop or in the field on mobile (phone or tablet), so crews always have the right steps at their fingertips. Updates sync in real time, giving managers visibility into progress without waiting for paperwork or phone calls.

Checklists make it easy to guide work, stay consistent, and ensure nothing gets missed. You can attach them to any job to outline required steps, keep techs aligned in the field, and track completion as work progresses.

As the team updates the checklist, you’ll see who made the last change and when it happened, giving you instant visibility into job status. Completed checklists are clearly marked, so you can confirm work is done at a glance and move confidently to the next step.
