In this article, you will learn how to prevent your field techs from closing jobs.
Restricting this permission is helpful if you want managers or office staff to review job details before they’re officially marked as complete. This ensures better oversight, reduces errors, and allows for any necessary follow-up before closing out the job.
- From the top navigation bar, select your profile icon > Settings
- Under Users & roles, select Roles & permissions
- Select the role you want to update
- Ensure the Close jobs permission is disabled
- Select Save
This will prevent all users within this role from closing jobs. They will no longer be able to change a job status to "done." Instead, they will only be able to mark jobs as "done pending approval."
