In this article, you will learn how to easily manage estimates from Estimates dashboard.
Estimates are a great way to inform your clients about the cost of your services before committing to a job. They are a valuable tool to make sure both you and your client are on the same page.
You can access your Estimates dashboard right from the sidebar menu or from the Reports menu.
Estimates dashboard overview
The Estimates dashboard allows you to efficiently manage and track your estimates. Here’s what you can do:
- Access an estimate: Quickly view and manage individual estimates.
- See who created an estimate: Easily identify the team member who created each estimate.
- See and update estimate statuses: Track the status of each estimate (e.g., unsent, pending, approved, won, declined, or archived) and update the status as needed.
When an estimate is approved, won, or declined, you'll see a timestamp of when the status was changed.
- See related job: View the associated job, when applicable.
At the top of the page, status widgets provide a quick overview of the total number of estimates and their combined value for each status. Select any widget to view the corresponding estimates.
Displaying estimates for done jobs
The Estimates dashboard also lets you customize how clients view estimates for completed jobs. When this setting is enabled, the client portal will display estimates for jobs marked as “done." If disabled, clients will only see estimates for active jobs.
Modifying the Estimates dashboard
The Estimates dashboard/report can only be customized to display estimates by status and/or specific time period.
