Previewing draft estimates and invoices before sending to clients

In this article, you will learn how to preview drafts of your estimates and invoices before sending them to clients.

With Workiz, your customers can view estimates and invoices from the Workiz client portal. They'll be able to view all of the documents that you've sent them in the past. You can also preview documents that you haven't sent yet with just a few clicks. 

As a Workiz admin, you can access the client portal in preview mode based on your user profile. When you select a link to the client portal, the software will automatically recognize you as a user and will open the portal in preview mode. To see the client portal exactly as a client would, you should open the link in an incognito window. 

Previewing documents

Preview mode will be activated when 

  1. Open the estimate or invoice you want to preview
  2. Select Send

You’ll be redirected to the client portal, where you can view all past documents you’ve created and sent. As a user on your Workiz account, you’ll have access to preview mode, allowing you to see all related documents, including those not yet sent. These documents have a status of "UNSENT" within the client portal.

Clients will only see documents once they’ve been sent. Documents with a status of "UNSENT" are only visible to you while in preview mode.
