Genius Scheduling is part of the Workiz Genius suite, an AI-powered toolkit that helps you schedule jobs more efficiently. Just enter the address of a new job, and Workiz will suggest the best time slots based on how close the new job is to others already on your calendar.
This is a great way of simplifying the workload for managers and dispatchers across your team. Genius Scheduling reduces the need for manual planning, helping you avoid scheduling conflicts and minimizing travel time between jobs.

- From the navigation bar, select the Feature Center
Not seeing the Feature Center icon in the navigation bar? You may not have the correct permissions set for your user.
Please contact your account admin and ask them to turn on the Account Settings permission for your user type from the Roles & Permissions settings page.
- Select Genius Scheduling
- Turn the toggle switch on/off to enable/disable the add-on
Booking new jobs with Genius Scheduling
- From the sidebar menu, select Create > Job
- Enter the client details (e.g., client name, contact info, etc.)
- Enter the job details (e.g., job type, job source, description)
- In the Service location field, enter the client's address
- Select X scheduling suggestions
- Choose the best time slot for this new job
Workiz will only display the team members who can perform the job based on their skills and service areas, and make various recommendations based on how close your new job is to existing jobs on your calendar. Workiz will also give you a clear idea of how far this job is from other jobs so you can ultimately decide what works best for your schedule.
- Select Set [user name] on [time slot]
- Select Create
Your new job will be booked and added to your schedule. Creating all your jobs with the help of Genius Scheduling will maximize efficiency and help you make the most of your team's time. By reducing travel and avoiding scheduling gaps, you'll keep operations running smoothly and ensure more timely service for your clients.
