Standardizing your pricing strategies with Price Book Max

In this article, you will learn how to standardize your pricing and streamline your sales processes using Price Book Max.

Your price book is designed to help you easily navigate through your catalog of items and services. All of your items are presented in a simple, catalog view that gives you quick access to the line items you need while on the job.

Price Book Max takes this experience to the next level. It comes pre-loaded with intuitive categories and popular items built around your industry. This ensures that you have the most relevant and current items at your fingertips, allowing you to spend more time on the work and less on managing your price book.

Accessing Price Book Max

  1. From the sidebar menu, select Price book
  2. Look for items, groups, or categories with the Price Book Max badge

    You can filter your list of items to only display those managed by Price Book Max.

Price Book Max is designed to automatically manage your items, groups, and categories, ensuring you always have access to the latest prices, costs, and profit margins for the items and services in your catalog.

Because item groups and categories are managed exclusively by Price Book Max, you will not have the option to edit or delete them from your price book. You will have the option of making certain changes at the item level, including whether a specific item is taxable, eligible for a discount, or visible on its own (i.e., outside of groups and flat rates) within your price book.

Adding items from Price Book Max

Price Book Max on web (desktop)

  1. Open the job you want to add items to 
  2. Select the Items tab
  3. Select Price book
  4. Select the Price Book Max parent category
  5. Navigate Price Book Max to find the items and/or services you want to add
  6. Select Add to job

Price Book Max on mobile

Price Book Max is also available on the Workiz mobile app, giving you easy access to an updated catalog on the go. 

  1. From the mobile app, open the job you want to add items to
  2. Select the Finance tab
  3. Next to Items, select the plus icon  ( )
  4. Select Categories > Price Book Max
  5. Select the item or service you want to add
  6. Adjust the quantity and select Add to job
