How to send Wisetack payment options to clients

The ability to offer Wisetack consumer financing is currently only available to users who are part of the beta program.

In this article, you will learn how to collect payments using Wisetack’s consumer financing options. 

Wisetack is a consumer financing company that helps in-person businesses give their customers the option to pay over time. It integrates directly with Workiz, giving you the consumer financing options you need to secure larger jobs.  

Signing up for Wisetack means you get paid when the work is complete, while your customer pays over time in manageable monthly installments. No more tracking down customers for payments or assuming the risk if the customer is late or fails to pay.

Offering financing options to your clients

After signing up for Wisetack, you’ll be able to send your clients a direct application link from the mobile app. They will also see the option to select a pay-over-time option when viewing estimates and invoices from the Workiz client portal.

Sending direct application links

From the web app 

  1. From the web app, open the estimate or invoice you want to collect payment for
  2. Under the total, select Send prequalification link/loan application
  3. Enter the client’s phone number and select Send text

From the mobile app

  1. From the mobile app, open the job you want to collect payment for
  2. Select Pay
  3. Select Wisetack Or as low as $X
  4. Confirm the client’s phone number and select Send application link

Your client will receive a text message with a link to apply for Wisetack financing options online. 

Sending estimates and invoices

Once your Wisetack account has been activated, all estimates and invoices with balances between $500–$25,000 will automatically feature an option for Wisetack financing options in the Workiz client portal. You will not be able to restrict Wisetack to specific customers. 

What your clients will see

Your customers will see a “Pay over time” option that includes a potential monthly payment amount. 

If your customers choose to apply for a Wisetack financing option from one of your estimates or invoices, they will be redirected to the Wisetack sign-up page where they will be asked to provide their email address, business name, EIN, and a few other basic details. The entire application process should only take a few minutes. 

If approved, your clients will be presented with a variety of financing options to choose from to pay for your service. The prequalification status expires after 14 days. The loan itself expires after 90 days.

How to know if your client is using Wisetack

You will receive an email and a Message Center notification when your client has been approved for financing.

Workiz will send you a notification once your client has submitted payment using a Wisetack financing option. The payment will be deposited into your bank account 1–3 business days after they submit payment. 

If you sent the application link from an estimate or invoice page in Workiz, these pages will automatically update to display when the application link was sent. Once your client is approved, these pages will also show the loan amount and the loan expiration date.

The Payments tab on the job page on your Workiz account will also indicate whether a client has paid for your service using a Wisetack financing option.
