A parent client is a client who oversees multiple other clients on your Workiz account. In Workiz and QuickBooks Online, you can specify parent and sub-client relationships between your clients, making it easy to manage and keep track of complex business relationships.

When using the QuickBooks Online integration in Workiz, your parent and sub-client relationships will be synced both ways — including the billing responsibilities. This means that most changes you make to parent-client relationships on one app will be reflected on the other.

These changes will be listed in your sync history log in Workiz.  

Syncing limitations

In Workiz, a single client can be a parent client to multiple separate sub-clients. But unlike QuickBooks Online, Workiz does not allow for multiple nested sub-clients. You will not be able to set a sub-client as the parent client to another sub-client directly in Workiz.
