In this article, you will learn how to block unwanted calls and text messages in Workiz. Blocking a number prevents that contact from calling or texting your business line, helping you reduce spam and keep your communications focused on real customers.
This article will focus on blocking specific phone numbers. If you are experiencing a high volume of spam calls, we recommend converting your basic call flow into a voice menu call flow (i.e., press 1 for..., press 2 for..., etc.).

Blocking from the settings page
Workiz has a dedicated page for adding numbers that you want to block.
- From the sidebar menu, select Workiz Phone
- Select the Blocked callers tab
- Select Block a number
- Enter the details for the number you want to block:
- Number
- (Optional) Description
- Select Block
Blocking from a call log
Alternatively, you can also block a number directly from your call logs. Numbers blocked using this method will also appear on the blocked numbers settings page.
- From the sidebar menu, select Workiz Phone
- From the Calls tab, select the call from the number you want to block
- From the call details side pane, select the + icon > Block caller
- Select Confirm
