In this article, you will learn about how to activate Workiz Pay to begin accepting online payments while on the go.

What is Workiz Pay? 

Workiz Pay is a fast, simple, and secure online payment solution that enables you to collect credit card payments from your customers while on the job. Workiz Pay also makes sure you get paid on time — and even ahead of time — by allowing you to request payments on your estimates and invoices.

We use Stripe technology to support Workiz Pay. Stripe is a reputable software company that gives businesses the tools to create online payment platforms. Companies using Stripe include Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, among many others.

Credit cards accepted with Workiz Pay

Workiz Pay will allow you to accept payments from the following credit card networks:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• American Express
• Discover

Signing up for Workiz Pay

1. From the navigation bar, select the Feature Center 
   

   Not seeing the Feature Center icon in the navigation bar? You may not have the correct permissions set for your user.

   Please contact your account admin and ask them to turn on the Account Settings permission for your user type from the Roles & Permissions settings page.

2. Under Most popular, select Workiz Pay
   
   

To sign up for Workiz Pay, you will be required to connect your business bank account and provide information related to you and your business.

• Start by connecting the bank account that will receive the payments you collect.

  1. Select Get started
  2. Connect your bank account:
     
  1. Account holder name
  2. Routing number or Transit number-financial institution number (e.g., 00000-000)
  3. Account number
  4. Retype account number
  3. Select Save & continue

• After connecting your bank account, you will need to provide some information relating to your identity and business.

  Start by telling us what type of business you have:

  • Individual: You own and run a business, but do not have an EIN
  • Company: You own and run a business, and have an EIN

  For help with completing the required identity form, please proceed to the corresponding section below.

  

  • 1. After selecting Individual, enter the owner information:
       
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Date of birth
    4. Last 4 digits of SSN
    5. Job title
    6. Email address
    7. Phone number
    2. Enter the owner home address information:
       
    1. Address
    2. City
    3. State
    4. Zip code
    3. Select Submit
    4. (Optional) Enter additional information:
       
    1. Types of clients
    2. Company founding year
    3. Select Finish
    1. After selecting Company, enter the owner information:
       
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Date of birth
    4. Last 4 digits of SSN
    5. Job title
    6. Email address
    7. Phone number
    2. Enter the owner home address information:
       
    1. Address
    2. City
    3. State
    4. Zip code
    3. Select Continue
    4. Enter your business information:
       
    1. Legal businessn name: Enter your legal business name as it appears on tax documents (e.g., SS-4)
    2. EIN/DUNS: Enter your business tax ID as it appears on tax documents (e.g., SS-4)
    3. Business phone number
    4. Business website

       If you don't have a website, please provide the URL to your business's social media page instead.

    5. Select Submit
    6. (Optional) Enter additional information:
       
    1. Types of clients

    3. Select Finish

After submitting your application

It may take a few days for your Workiz Pay application to be processed. Existing customers using Workiz Pay via WePay will still be able to process payments in the meantime.

Workiz will send you an email once your application has been processed. If approved, you’ll then be ready to start collecting online payments.

If approved, you will be given access to the Workiz Pay dashboard, where you can view your online payments, payouts, and disputes, as well as make changes to your statement descriptor. You can access this dashboard from the sidebar menu.
