In this article, you will learn how to find and update an existing custom field for clients and jobs using the Workiz mobile app.
Workiz was designed to fit the needs of most service businesses, but you may find that your organization needs a bit more customization when it comes to creating jobs and adding clients. You can accomplish this by creating custom fields so that you can add all the extra information you’ll ever need for a job or client.
Custom fields can only be created using the web application, but you can access and update those existing custom fields on the go using the mobile app. To learn more about creating custom fields using the web app, please see this article.
In order to use Custom Fields in Workiz, you will first need to enable the add-on from the Marketplace. To learn more about enabling the add-on, please see this article.
Accessing job custom fields
- Open a job with custom fields you want to update
- Select Job details
- Under the default fields, update the custom fields
Accessing client custom fields
- Open the client profile with custom fields you want to update
- Select the first section of the client profile
- Under the default fields, update the custom fields
