Schedule colors
Jobs, leads, and tasks on your schedule will appear in certain colors to indicate the specific technician on your team who has been assigned to that scheduled item. This is a great way to get a quick understanding of your technicians’ workloads.
Edit and create jobs
Edit existing jobs
Every item on your schedule can be dragged and dropped to make quick changes while on the Timeline view. With this feature you can easily:
- Assign an unassigned job to a member of your team
- Reassign a job to a different team member
- Reschedule a job to a later time or date
Add new jobs
You can also select an empty slot on the schedule to create a new job from the Schedule page. To do this, simply click and hold on an empty space and drag your cursor to the desired slot length. From here, you will be taken to the New Job page where you can complete the remaining fields of the new job form.
To save yourself some time, use this method while on the Timeline view so you can select an empty space for a technician with availability. Doing so will automatically complete the Scheduled details on a new job form.
Details quick view
The Schedule page also gives you a quick summary of the job, lead, or task details.
Select any item on your schedule to easily:
- Call the client or assigned tech using Workiz Phone
- View the exact time slot
- View the service address
- View the status of the scheduled item
To make quick changes to an item on your schedule, simply select that item and select the pencil icon to make changes from the sidebar, or the pop-out icon to make changes from the job's page.
