In Workiz, a lead is considered a potential job — not a potential customer. A lead can be used to:
- Store information for a potential job
- Schedule an on-site visit to make a quote for a potential job

How to convert a lead into a job
In order to convert a lead into a job, you will first need to enable the Leads add-on from the Marketplace.

Once your client has agreed to pay for your business’s services and schedule a job, you can easily convert a lead into a job while automatically migrating all of the information you entered for the lead.
- Open the lead you want to convert into a job
- Select Convert to job
A lead must be scheduled in order to convert it into a job.
- Decide if you want to sync an estimate from this lead
The new job will automatically include all of the client details you entered for the lead. It will feature a job date and assigned tech that match the ones you entered for the lead. If synced, the items from the lead estimate will now be included as job items. You can easily create an invoice that includes those items right from the job page.
