In this article, you will learn how to enable service type booking to take your Booking Services portal to the next level.

With Booking Services in Workiz, you can allow your clients to book your services online based on the specific services they require. After they select the service, Workiz will only provide the availability of team members whose skills match the requested service.


Note: The services listed on your booking portal are drawn from the job types on your account. To learn more about adding new job types, please see this article.


In order to enable service type booking, you will first need to enable the booking services add-on. To learn more about enabling the add-on, please see this article.

How to enable service type booking

  1. From the navigation bar, select Settings > Settings

  2. Under Integrations, select Online Booking

  3. Select the Service types tab

  4. Turn the toggle switch for Use job types ON


    Note: To enable this setting, you will first need to set your booking availability to Based on tech’s availability.

    You will also need to ensure that the field techs on your team have skills that match the job types listed on your booking portal.

    This way, your booking portal will only show the availability of techs whose skills match the service your client initially requested.


  5. Select Add job type and choose the job type you want to add

  6. Repeat Step 5 until you have added all the services you want to offer in your Booking Services portal

Now, your Booking Services portal will require your clients to select a specific service before scheduling a time slot. This way, the available time slots that your clients see match the availability of your team members who can perform the job.
