In this article, you will learn how to add optional items to your estimates in Workiz.

Sometimes you want to offer your clients non-required services or products in addition to the standard line items on your estimate. Workiz makes this easy with optional items in estimates.

How to add optional items to estimates

  1. Create or open the estimate you want to add optional items to

  2. Select Add item and choose the item you want to add

  3. From the Add job items pop-up, turn the toggle switch next to Optional item ON (green)

  4. Select Save

How your clients will see optional items

Optional items will be labeled as such on your estimate. Your clients will have the option to select the optional items right from the estimate on the client portal, updating the estimate (and deposit) total with each selected item. Optional items are deselected by default.
