How to offer discounts on mobile

In this article, you will learn how to offer discounts to your customers using the Workiz mobile app.

Offering discounts can be done in just a few steps, but the procedures will vary slightly depending on whether you want to offer a discount to a job, or to an estimate and invoice.

Note: This article will focus on how to manually apply discounts to individual jobs, estimates, and invoices.

Workiz also allows you to create member discounts using service plans, ensuring that discounts are automatically applied to certain clients. To learn more applying member discounts, please see this article.

How to offer a discount on jobs

  1. Open the job, estimate, or invoice you want to add a discount to

  2. Follow the step that corresponds with what you opened in Step 1

    1. Job: Select Finance > Job items

    2. Estimate or invoice: Select Items

  3. Under Subtotal, select Discount

  4. Complete the Set discount fields:

    1. Choose whether the discount should be applied as a dollar amount or a percentage of the total cost

    2. Enter the dollar amount or percentage you want to discount

    3. Select Save

When applied to an estimate or invoice, the discount will be visible on the document from the Workiz client portal.
