What is Zapier?
Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your apps and services. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration. This guide walks you through key concepts to help you get started with Zapier.
A Zap is an automated workflow that connects your apps and services together. Each Zap consists of a trigger and one or more actions. When you turn your Zap on, it will run the action steps every time the trigger event occurs.
What triggers can I use?
You can use one trigger from Workiz that you can use to create Zaps: New Job
Zap Example: When a new Job is created create a new event in google calendar
What actions can I use?
You can create new Jobs as an action in Zapier.
Zap Example: New job request from one system results a new job at Workiz
What data can I send from Workiz to another app?
In addion to the pre defined Workiz Zaps you can use Workiz developer API in Zapier using Zapier Web hooks or with any other scripting language.
The API is built to allow you to create a functional application or integration quickly and easily.
All of the Workiz APIs are organized around REST - if you've interacted with a RESTful API already, many of the concepts will be familiar to you.
All API calls to Workiz should be made to the https://api.workiz.com/api/v1/ base domain.
A JSON will be returned in all responses from the API, including errors. The APIs are designed to have predictable, straightforward URLs and to use HTTP response codes to indicate API errors.
