In this article, you will learn how to connect Workiz to other applications using Zapier.
What is Zapier?
Zapier is a third-party application designed to allow apps to talk to each other. In Workiz, Zapier is used to create automation rules between Workiz and other apps. These automation rules are known as “Zaps.”

Workiz has a handful of pre-built Zaps you can use with just a few clicks.
To access these Zaps:
From the navigation bar, select Settings > Settings
Under Integrations, select Zapier
Find the Zap you want to use and select Use this Zap
You can also create custom Zaps using the steps below.
Creating a custom Zap
In Zapier, you have to select an app that hosts the trigger event and an app that will perform an action after the trigger event takes place.
Note: These instructions will provide general guidance on how to create a Zap with Workiz as the app that hosts the trigger event. You may also choose a different app as the one that hosts the trigger event.
Select Create Zap
For Trigger, search for and select Workiz
Under Event, choose an event that will act as the trigger for this Zap (e.g., When a job is done, when a job status is changed, when a new job is created, etc.)
Select Continue
Under Workiz account, select Connect a new account
Open the provided hyperlink in a separate window
From the Developer page in Workiz, copy the API token and API secret and paste them into the corresponding fields in Zapier
Select Yes, continue
Select Test trigger
Verify that a job was found and select Continue
For Action, search for and select the app that will perform an action after the trigger event takes place (e.g., NiceJob, SurveyMonkey, Gmail, etc.)
Under Event, select the event that will take place after the trigger event
Connect your account and select Continue
Complete the Set up action fields and select Continue
Select Test & continue to test the Zap
Select Publish Zap > Publish & turn on
If configured correctly, your Zap will now allow Workiz to communicate with the app you chose.
